About Hannah Parker
Born in Ukraine on August 5, 2009, Hannah was adopted by the Parker family in October 2010. Hannah was listed on ReecesRainbow.org as “Laura”.
Hannah has a confirmed diagnosis of Down Syndrome. Kate claimed that Hannah had Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD), in addition to symptoms of autism, but these claims have not been confirmed.
She underwent an operation to get a g-tube placed shortly after her adoption. Kate Parker is facing charges of assault in the first degree in connection with this surgery, which authorities claim was not necessary.
Hannah was “rehomed” and placed with a new family in mid-to-late 2012. Kate Parker is facing charges of abandonment of a child and three counts of criminal mistreatment in the first degree for allegedly abandoning Hannah and failing to transfer custody in a legal manner.
It’s alleged that Kate Parker “did unlawfully and intentionally and knowingly take charge of Hannah Parker for the purpose of fraud” on October 11, 2010 — the approximate date of her adoption.
In addition, Kate faces a charge of criminal mistreatment in the first degree after she “did unlawfully and intentionally and knowingly withhold necessary and adequate food and physical care from Hannah Parker” on or around November 1, 2010.
Kate Parker is also facing charges of criminal treatment in the first degree after she allegedly “unlawfully and intentionally and knowingly cause physical injury to Hannah Parker” on or around November 3, 2011.
According to reliable sources who are in contact with Hannah’s current family, she is thriving in her new home. She is said to be eating and drinking independently, walking, she is beginning to verbalize and she also attends school, in addition to regular therapy sessions. She no longer requires a g-tube and reportedly displays no signs of autism or attachment disorders such as RAD.
